We’re closing out another month, which means it’s time to round up the best emails from the last few weeks. We’ve got GIFs, product recommendations, and a whole lot more, so get ready for a look at some of February’s best emails.
Nike - Still killin’ the GIFs
This isn’t Nike’s first appearance on one of our “Best Emails” posts, and we doubt it’ll be their last. This time, they did an excellent job creating a smooth and effective GIF that highlights the range of colors that their new LunarEpic Flyknit 2s come in.
Birchbox - Downright effective
This Birchbox email is well-designed, includes a persuasive offer, and creates a sense of urgency by highlighting “while supplies last.” Plus, the GIFs add a nice touch.
Alex and Ani - “Custom” abandoned cart emails
This email from Alex and Ani looks like it’s a custom-designed newsletter, but it’s actually an abandoned cart email. By using a non-traditional layout for displaying individual products, Alex and Ani’s design team did a great job creating an automation template that looks nothing like other templated designs we’ve seen...kudos!
Think Clearly - Handwritten FTW
The team at Think Clearly takes a different approach to newsletter designs: they hand draw them. Is this completely unorthodox in a world obsessed with digital, responsive designs? Yes. Is it a little weird? Yes. But we like weird, and Think Clearly does a great job embracing it.
Horchow - Show off different products
Yes, this is another GIF that we love, but the reason that we love it is totally not technical and purely artistic. The way Horchow uses the same room and background in every frame does an outstanding job highlighting the diversity of styles that are on sale.
Buy Me Brunch - Creative subject lines
The crew at Buy Me Brunch built a brand on using words creatively, so it comes as no surprise that they do the same with their email subject lines. Take a look at the snippet from their Valentine’s Day promo…“Will You” “Be My” - very creative!
